Effective Date: May 20, 2026
1. SCOPE AND AGREEMENT
These Business Terms of Service (Insights.ng")
govern the relationship between
INSIGHTS NIGERIA ("we," "our," or
"us") and any commercial entity, business
owner, or authorized corporate representative
("Business," "you," or "your") who
accesses, claims, or manages a company profile directory or
utilizes our proprietary
review validation framework ("Vironeerr") on
Insights.ng.
By claiming a business listing or responding to user reviews
on the platform, you
explicitly agree to be bound by these Business Terms and our
master Terms of Use.
2. PROFILE CLAIMING, VERIFICATION, AND AUTHORITY
- Authorized Representation: By claiming a corporate profile
on Insights.ng, you
warrant that you are
an owner, director, or legally authorized employee/agent with
the explicit
authority to bind the Business to these terms.
- Accuracy of Data: You agree to keep all corporate
information, logos, contact details,
and physical office
addresses accurate, current, and true to the best of your
knowledge.
Inaccurate corporate data may result in profile suspension.
3. MANAGEMENT OF USER-GENERATED CONTENT (UGC)
Insights.ng operates as an open, independent consumer
sandbox. Businesses must adhere
to the following strict rules regarding customer reviews:
- Neutrality & Non-Interference: You shall not offer
financial incentives, discounts,
gifts, or commercial
favors to customers in exchange for positive reviews or the
removal of negative
reviews.
- Algorithmic Integrity (Trustbob): Any attempt to
artificially manipulate ratings,
procure astroturfed
(fake) reviews, or deploy automated scripts to interfere with
the Trustbob
evaluation matrix will result in an immediate permanent "Consumer
Alert"
badge appended to
your profile or complete corporate delisting.
- Right of Reply: Businesses have the right to respond to
user reviews constructively,
professionally, and
respectfully. Your responses must not contain defamatory language,
abusive text, or the
private personal data of the reviewer.
4. COMPLIANCE WITH CONSUMER PROTECTION & DATA PROTECTION
LAWS
- FCCPA Compliance: In accordance with the Federal
Competition and Consumer Protection
Commission (FCCPC)
framework, you acknowledge that suppressing or deceptively deleting
genuine critical
consumer reviews constitutes anti-competitive behavior. Insights.ng
will not delete a
negative review simply because a business disagrees with the sentiment.
- NDPA & GDPR Data Security: If a user utilizes their
Right to Erasure under the
Nigeria Data
Protection Act (NDPA) or GDPR to remove their profile, their public
reviews will be
scrubbed from your business dashboard analytics interface. You are
strictly prohibited
from harvesting or logging reviewers' private contact details for
off-platform
harassment or legal retaliation.
5. CONTENT REPORTING AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION
If your Business believes a review violates our community
standards (e.g., it contains
verifiable defamation, hate speech, or was left by a
competitor rather than a genuine
customer):
- You must report the review formally via the "Report a
Problem" protocol or by contacting
support@insights.ng.
- You agree to provide clear, objective documentation where
requested to assist our
compliance agents.
Insights.ng remains the sole arbiter of whether content violates its
platform standards
and warrants removal.
6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Insights.ng features educational community market commentary
and user ratings.
To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law:
- We provide our directory services on an "as-is"
and "as-available" basis.
- We are not liable for any drop in corporate revenue,
reputation damage, or operational
disruption resulting
from negative user reviews, community stock analysis, or
contrarian investor
sentiments published on the platform.
7. TERMINATION AND AMENDMENT
INSIGHTS NIGERIA reserves the right to suspend or revoke
a business's access to
their claimed profile dashboard at any time for material
breaches of these Business Terms.
We may update these terms periodically to reflect shifts in
regulatory frameworks, and continued
use of your profile constitutes acceptance of the modified
terms.
